Helen grew up on a farm east of Wakaw, Saskatchewan and studied art with Miss Mulcaster at Teachers' College. She has always enjoyed painting. She says: "My colors and mood express my emotions. I paint from the soul which gives me a sense of who I am." Helen has belonged to the Saskatoon Artist Club for 15 years. She has taken many art workshops and spent time painting at Emma Lake. Helen enjoys oil, acrylic and water color mediums. She is more of an impressionistic artist, breaking rules and painting big bold pictures. |
